Interviews – Personal

Personal interviews that are not published do NOT need to be included on your reference page.

Why?  The APA Publication Manuals states that these are “personal communications” and “do not provide recoverable data.”

   Parenthetical citation:

On the 16^th Street Mall, the Tabor Center is being refurbished. The new light rail line will take you to Union Station and Elitches (A. Swanson, personal interview, April 12, 2002). 

***Please note where the period is.  Strange...but APA correct.
